Welcoming m/s Varsovia to the Port of Ystad

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Port of Ystad, Ystad Municipality, and the shipping company Polferries for the inspiring unveiling of their new vessel, m/s Varsovia.

This event marks a historic milestone as the first newly built ship to serve the Ystad-Świnoujście line since 1995.

We also wish to congratulate m/s Varsovia on receiving the prestigious “ROPAX Ferry of the Year 2024” award at the Ferry Shipping Summit in Athens on November 7, 2024.

This celebration highlights not only the achievement of launching m/s Varsovia but also the remarkable improvements that made her arrival possible—including the extensive expansion and modernization of the Port of Ystad.

Together with Polferries, the Port of Ystad, and Ystad Municipality, we marked this special occasion as a symbol of growth and innovation.
