Back to the ROOTS is a root beer liqueur brand developed by us at SOUTH from the ground up.
Starting from a single point of departure that the product would be a root beer liqueur. We created the entire brand ecosystem in close collaboration with Nativis.
Our work covered the full brand journey: defining the brand foundation, positioning, and consumer relevance; shaping the narrative and tone of voice; and translating the idea into the name and a distinctive visual identity. This included the development of the logotype, emblem, labels, bottle selection, and a cohesive visual identity applied across all brand touchpoints.
Visually, the identity draws from the origins of the product itself. Graphic elements and details are inspired by the sassafras plant, grounding the brand in authenticity while expressing curiosity, movement, and cultural exchange.
